Who we are
The short version: we collect what we need to prepare your books, file your taxes, and run your payroll, nothing more. We don't sell your information. We contact you about your own file, not marketing you didn't ask for. And you can always ask what we have on file, or tell us to stop.
Finvera Global ("Finvera," "we," "us," or "our") is a CPA firm based in Toronto, Ontario, providing accounting, bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax, payroll, and business incorporation services. This policy explains what personal information we collect through finveraglobal.ca and our client services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Why we use it
We use your information to:
Respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
Prepare and file your personal or corporate tax returns
Process payroll on your behalf
Meet our professional and legal obligations as a CPA firm, including recordkeeping required by the CRA
Communicate with you about your file, deadlines, and deliverables
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Consent to contact
By submitting our contact form or engaging our services, you consent to Finvera Global contacting you by phone, email, or text message about your inquiry or engagement, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Consent is not a condition of receiving any service. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message, clicking unsubscribe in an email, or contacting us directly at [privacy email].
Note that even after opting out of marketing messages, we may still need to send service-related communications, such as filing deadlines or document requests, necessary to deliver the services you've engaged us for.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies, in three categories:
Strictly necessary - required for the site to function. Always on.
Analytics - anonymized, aggregate data on how the site is used.
Preference - remembers choices you've made, like dismissing a banner.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in your settings.
Sharing & service providers
As a new firm, our current security practices are straightforward rather than platform-based: documents are shared and stored using password-protected files and encrypted email, and access is limited to Finvera's founding team only, no external staff, no shared logins.
Because no such platforms are currently in use, we do not share your information with software vendors or service providers for these purposes. If we adopt a client portal or third-party platform in the future, we will name it here specifically and explain how it handles your data before it comes into use.
We may still disclose information where legally required, for example, in response to a court order or a request from the Canada Revenue Agency.
Data security
We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted storage and transmission, two-factor authentication on our client portal, and restricted internal access to client files. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects your personal information, as required by law.
We don't yet use portal-based protections like two-factor authentication, simply because we don't yet operate a client portal. As Finvera grows and adopts additional tools, this section will be updated to reflect the safeguards those tools provide.
No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions given our current size and tools, and we will notify you if a breach affects your personal information, as required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information as long as we need it to deliver our services and to meet our professional, legal, and tax recordkeeping obligations. CPA firms are generally required to retain certain client records for six years, some records are retained longer. When records are no longer needed, we delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to know why we collect your information, access a copy of it, request corrections, and withdraw consent at any time. subject to legal or contractual limits (for example, we can't un-file a return already submitted to the CRA). Children's privacy
Our services and website are not directed at individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we've inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes & how to reach us
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
